PLATELET RICH PLASMA

Platelet Rich Plasma, or PRP, is a popular cosmetic injectable and infusion treatment. This is due to its ability to naturally rejuvenate the skin and repair the signs of ageing by using our own platelet rich blood cells.

What is it?

PRP is a form of cosmetic injectable treatment that uses the client’s own platelet rich plasma. The plasma component contains stem cells and growth rich platelets. When injected or infused back into the skin, it accelerates the body’s natural production of collagen and elastin to provide overall skin rejuvenation.

What does it do?

PRP has a number of benefits. The treatment can improve skin texture and tone, reduce fine lines and scarring, and stimulate collagen and skin cell production for a plumper, more radiant complexion.

What is it for?

PRP is great for anyone who is concerned by any areas of skin that are starting to lose elasticity and volume. It is a wonderful service to add to laser treatments and microneedling, because it speeds the body's healing process, and it is also a highly effective method for stimulating your body’s cells to produce new, healthy looking skin. It is extremely effective for that delicate under eye area where often clients notice signs of ageing first and where no laser can be used. It is also used to increase the structural integrity and health of the skin, particularly skin that has had more than its fair share of sun damage over the years.

Is PRP new?

PRP is not new and has long been recognized and used in the hospital system and in sports medicine for its effective wound healing properties since the 1970s.

Is it safe?

Yes, PRP is actually a very safe injectable treatment, as essentially, you are using your own natural elements without the addition of any foreign products.
